Physical Photography
Physical Development in my photography is very important because I love to experiment with my photography by trying different techniques to be able to create my own style of photography.
This is where I will be showing all of my different physical photography developments and experiments. The developments that I explore are all from my own ideas and I have tried to create unusual photography.
Identity
For this project, I wanted to look into my personal identity, where I have come from, my family members and how this has affected who I am today.
Looking at similarities in my family members how our genes can affect who we are and what we look like. Gathering a greater understanding of whom we are seeing, what mannerisms and facial features you receive from each family member.
This physical development was created by photographing with my portable studio using my family members as models. Once photographed, I began to print the portrait photos and cutting them out in strips this meant that I could link family members' faces together. Therefore gathering an understanding of how genes and what we look like with facial features can be passed down through the generations.
My main photograph is my Mother (Jackie Maguire), my Father (Peter Maguire) and myself (Laurel Maguire). This is printed to A0 square size.

Memory and Loss
For my Exhibition in University for my final project I wanted to photograph Memory and Loss but in a unique and unusual way. This is through my Digital Physical Photography.
My technique is by photographing and then printing on assitate which allows the image to be a transparent image. I can then layer the memories of each of the subjects' loved ones. The memories are special to the individual subject as they are memories from their loved one and that is how they remember their relative who has passed away.
This is such a great keepsake for family members who have lost loved ones and want there memories in one place.
As the image is printed on assitate they are very delicate and they are hung by fishing wire in a boxed frame and layered together creating the final image/ images.
I also asked my subjects to write letters to their loved ones which I also displayed in my exhibition.

- Grandad- David Wheelhouse Loved one Mother and Father- Herman and Alice
